Election of PPN Representatives to Strategic Policy Committees

Limerick Public Participation Network has opened elections to select representatives to sit on three of Limerick City and County Council’s Strategic Policy Committees. A total of Fifteen seats are available to the Community, Voluntary, Social Inclusion and Environmental organisations active in Limerick City and County who are members of the PPN.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is 2pm Wednesday March 4th. The elections will take place the following Wednesday when the seats will be filled as follows:

  • 4 seats on the Climate Action, Biodiversity and Environment SPC, comprising of 2 representing the Environment/Conservation Pillar and 2 representing the Community/Voluntary Pillar
  • 7 seats on the Community, Leisure and Culture SPC, comprising of 4 representing the Community/Voluntary Pillar, 2 representing the Social Inclusion Pillar and 1 representing the Environment Pillar
  • 4 seats on the Economic Development, Enterprise and Planning SPC, comprising of 2 representing the Community/Voluntary Pillar, 1 representing the Environment Pillar and 1 representing the Social Inclusion Pillar

Limerick PPN members’ representatives from the relevant linkage groups who intend attending the March 11th elections should register their attendance at eventbrite/lppn-spc-elections

In the meantime LPPN are still inviting members to join linkage groups in order to participate in the election. The linkage groups are open to all member organisations irrespective of Pillar.
