Limerick PPN Call for Nominations to Fill 7 Vacant Seats

Limerick PPN (LPPN) currently has seven (7) vacancies to fill; 4 vacant seats on Limerick City and County Council committees, 1 vacant seat on the Joint Policing Committee and 2 vacant seats on the LPPN Secretariat. We are now calling on LPPN members to nominate suitable candidates from their organisations to fill these positions as follows:

  1. One (1) vacant Environmental Pillar seat on the Climate Action, Biodiversity and Environment Strategic Policy Committee (formulates, develops and reviews policy and strategy in the area of Climate Action and Biodiversity): LPPN member organisations from the Environmental Pillar who are members of the Climate Action, Biodiversity & Environment Linkage Group can nominate for this seat
  2. One (1) vacant Community Pillar seat on the Home & Social Development Strategic Policy Committee(covers housing and Regeneration): LPPN member organisations from the community/voluntary Pillar who are members of the Home & Social Development Linkage Group can nominate for this seat
  3. One (1) vacant Community Pillar seat and one (1) vacant Social Inclusion Pillar seat on the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC)(oversees the implementation of local and community development programmes): LPPN member organisations from the community/voluntary Pillar and the Social Inclusion Pillar  who are members of the Urban and Rural Community Development & Social Inclusion Linkage Group can nominate for this seat
  4. One (1) vacant seat on the Joint Policing Committee(JPC) (joint Limerick City and County Council and An Garda Síochána committee) – All LPPN members of the Community Safety & Policing Linkage Group can nominate for this seat (no specific pillar)

 

Limerick PPN Secretariat: One (1) vacant Social inclusion seat and one (1) vacant Limerick Metropolitan Municipal District seat

 

LPPN members from the Social Inclusion Pillar and the Limerick Metropolitan District are also invited to nominate suitable candidates from their organisation for the two vacant seats on the Secretariat. The Secretariat is the group of people who oversee the PPN on behalf of all the members.

The closing date for receipt of completed nomination forms is: 2pm Friday 22nd October 2021
Where there are contested seats online elections will take place: 10am Monday 1st November – 2pm Friday 5th November 2021

 

N.B. If you are interested in a particular vacancy but your group/organisation is not a member of the relevant Linkage Group simply email ppn@limerick.ie to join a Linkage Group. Deadline for changes or additions to Linkage Groups is 2pm Friday October 22nd
